STOP WEEVIL is an ecological trap which efficiently meets the detection and control needs for plagues of the Cosmopolites sordidus or banana weevil in banana tree plantations, designed for use with pheromone, without the need to use chemical products.

STOP WEEVIL is the result of in-depth studies and research in collaboration with the research group “Integrated Control of Infestations and Plant Diseases – CIPEV” of the Department of Botany, Ecology and Plant Physiology of the University of La Laguna in Tenerife (Spain) and supported by ASPROCAN (Association of Canarian Banana Producers Organizations).

As a result, STOP WEEVIL has become the simplest, most efficient and most easily maintained ecological trap in combatting the banana tree weevil. Its exclusive design offers, among other novelties, mobile ramps with a rugged surface at ground level which makes it easier for insects to enter.
